Videogame History For The Newbies

Okay here is an article for you video game newbies. There are many systems, some of the new ones include the Playstaition two (the slim version), the Ps2 (the fat version), the Xbox, The Gamecube, and the newest Nintendo Ds. The major video game companies control most of the market, these businesses include Nintendo, Sony, And a new company now rising to the top, Microsoft. There are other off brands like nokia but those systems but they are far from making a successful video game system. Video games all started with the console Atari. Atari was the first of its kid to make a system with a variety of games. One of the most popular was space invaders. After that came Nintendo who made the NES. The ness literally wiped out all of the business Atari. The nintedndo was popular and had no competing until Sony decided to join the market with its big bulky playstation which had much better graphics and could play CD's. The Nintendo fought back with the the Super Nintendo a console with Amazing graphics and it could save. About this time Sega entered the market with the Saturn, it was popular for little time because the Nintendo 64 and the Game boy was released. The Nintendo 64 could support 3d graphics and was the most popular system at the time. The Game boy was the first handheld and it was as good as the NES but without color. Sony and sega had to do something so sega released the playstation 1 a portable Playstation. Sega released the Genesis. The genisis did horrible and sega was knocked out of the console business into the game making where it was very successful. The Playstaion 1 did very well. So the Nintendo released the Game boy color. Later the Gameboy Advance a handheld better than the super Nintendo. Finally for the last hit the Nintendo released the Gamecube. The 3d graphic lean mean killing machine. Just as it all looked hopeless for Sony it released the Ps2 Which Just knocked Nintendo out of there shoes. Nintendo responded with the Gba SP a remake of the GBA but smaller with a light and more portable. Then out of no were came the Xbox which sold much more than Nintendo and sony's systems. Then Sony Announced the Psp a portable ps2. It still hasn't come out yet but it will in 2005. Nintendo now has just released the Nintendo Ds a handheld better than the Nintendo 64. Sony released a smaller version of the Ps2 called the playstation two. Microsoft has announced it's Xbox 2 and Sony has announced the ps3or psx. Nintendo has announced a new console but we do not have any details. Now you newbies feel informed right?
